Cigar Smoking the Canadian Way
I just thought I would share the fact that I enjoyed the Undercrown you sent to me....it didn't make it to the 3 day mark in my humi. Very enjoyable cigar; reminded me a lot of a Le Bijou with the stronger black pepper on the front half, then calmed down to a wonderful white pepper and roasted tobacco flavor on the back end. I did get some of that dusty cocoa like Dale always talks about, but it was very faint. I would buy these if they were readily available and not too expensive, as it reminded me of a T52, but a bit shy on the bold flavors....it did have the bold strength though. Submitted by Zedman

Manuel Quesada at Churchill Cigars
The January 2011 CigarTourism trip to the Dominican Republic was fabulous and my favorite part of the trip was getting a chance to meet and visit with the Quesada family at the MATASA factory. Last Friday I had the chance to spend some time with Manuel Quesada at Churchill Cigars in San Diego. Once again I had a fabulous time. Submitted by Paul Przybysz

Liz & Bob,
Thank you for the kind words and well wishes. Sharon and I love the show and we love you guys and Dale. We've been virtually herfing with you for years and you seem like real friends to us. We even smoked along with you via the Dogwatch Cigar Club, both before Fullers Pullers and after. Ah, those were the days. Sorry Liz for calling you a Dogwatch Dude.

P.S. I'm an avid amateur photographer and for the past two years I've been expanding my skills and learning product photography by shooting my cigar collection. I really do have some Palio photos but I didn't want to try sneaking extra entries into your Palio of the month contest. I have hundreds of high quality cigar photos and of course I love the new version of the Palio of the month contest. Thanks again. -

Hi Folks,
Just returned from St. Maarten where I spent a little time at the Cigar Emporium in Phillipsburg enjoying a few Habanos. They primarily carried Cohiba, RyJ, Montecristo and Bolivar. Since my spending was limited I went with a half dozen of the RyJ petite coronas and was very happy with them. The woman there said that if I wanted a box that they would strip the bands off of them and make them ready for travel to the US and I could put the bands back on when I got home. She also said I can order from their website. I did a little research before I went over there and feel pretty confident that they were true Habanos. Not sure what I'd get if I ordered by mail though but they seemed like a pretty legit place. -

Now Dale, hopefully what I have to say will make you all warm inside. Possibly you've heard this before but it worth hearing again. Rather than keep your window open when it's freezing out and having to listen to Bob give you crap about how many shirts your wearing, try this. Take a medium size bowl and fill it 1/2 - 3/4 full of white vinegar. Go ahead and smoke your cigar in warmth and when you're done blow the smoke out of the room with the fan and let the vinegar do the rest. I have tried this (without the fan) and it works pretty darn good. If the room is big or you're smoking a lot then maybe use 2 bowls. Replenish as needed. I very rarely smell vinegar but if I do it's just a quick whiff. I think you'll be surprised at how good it works.

Please enter me in the Palio contest. I have attached a picture (none too good, but that's me and pictures) of me lighting a cigar at a friend's restaurant. I cannot name the restaurant since smoking indoors is probably against the law. Anyway I enjoy your podcasts and have since I signed up earlier in the year. Next year will be my 20th year smoking cigars and I just wish I had taken them up in the 1970's when I was in college. Of course it doesn't hurt that we are in what might be termed the golden age of fine cigars, particularly having gone through the boom (smoking some really terrible cigars which you were "lucky" to get). Keep up the good work. Thanks.
