DogWatch Cigar Radio Podcast Episode #384 - Extremely Unexpected

This week, Gary Griffith of Emilio Cigars pays a surprise visit to the show.  The Cigar of the Week (the COW) is the La Casita Criollo by Pete Johnson.  (A big thank you to Tranquilo Cigars for providing this week's COW.)  The cigar for the "What's my band?" segment of the show, the La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Maduro, was provided by Kip Fisher (TheCigarmy.com).  Enter The Cigarmy's photo contest for new and existing CRA members to win a CRA cigar sampler worth over $100 and a Cigarmy coffee mug.  As an added bonus, anyone who becomes a member during this period and uses Kip's referral number (0169) will also get a cigar or two from his humidor.

Dale and Bob talk about the latest legislative update from Cigar Rights of America, including the House panel warning off the FDA with regard to regulating premium cigars, and the defeat of Proposition 29 in California.

Herf Lines come in from Robert from Texas, Angry Bill (while visiting Craig Schneider in Chicago), and Big Pete from Australia who reviews this week's COW, the La Casita Criollo.   In the 'We've Got Mail' segment, Rob Levine/Tacksman asks about Pete Johnson's new line, L’Atelier; Nelson Pidgeon wants to know if retro-haling can cause sinus health issues similiar to cigarettes causing lung health issues and whether roll-your-own tobacco is really mislabeled pipe tobacco; Don wonders if Bob and Dale have ever tried his favorite cigar, the Leon Jimenes 300 series;  and Keith and Rodd have more tar buildup questions.  In the live chatroom, Jason Shaffer wins a box of CommonWealth Cedar Spills.

Dale talks about what else he's been smoking this week, including:  the Ortega Serie D No. 7, made in the My Father Factory, and the San Lotano Habano Lancero.  Bob shares his thoughts on the Antonio Benitez Habano Rosado Toro, the Nica Libre Imperial and the Jesus Fuego Royal Nicaraguan.

Check out the live show and interact through the chatroom! Watch the show live every Friday night at 9 pm Eastern or view it later at your leisure: http://www.cigarmedia.tv/live/

Bob then opens a sealed envelope and discovers the cigar’s name and manufacturer. If you have suggestions for the "What's My Band?" segment, or would like to provide 2-4 What's my Band? cigars, please email Executive Producer Liz at liz@cigarmedia.tv. Anyone providing samples will receive a DogWatch Cigar Radio pin and sticker!
