What else have you been smokin' Dale?
Giralda Robusto - Giralda Cigars are owned by Forcade & Son Fine Cigars and are blended & produced by Pepin Garcia. The name Giralda is taken from La Giralda - a landmark church in Seville, Spain. Nicaraguan filler & Honduran binder under an oily Broadleaf maduro wrapper. Complex, med-full bodied and very tasty - cocoa, coffee & cedar with some dark fruit sweetness underneath! Thanks to Carl H.
La Gloria Cubana Serie N JSB, 5.5” x 54 - Nicaraguan filler & binder with a “Capa Oscuro” (Ecuador Sumatra) wrapper. To my tastes, one of the finest LGC cigars made. Rich, spicy & sweet flavors in a full bodied smoke. A bit of licorice is obvious in the last 3rd. Presentation is unique with a lighter colored “N” of wrapper leaf on the cigar and a hex shaped cabinet box. This cigar is the brainchild of Yuri Guillen, production manager in the D.R., who led us on the tour of General a couple weeks ago.
La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Tabaqueros 750 - Nicaraguan & Honduran tobaccos with a two-tone wrapper treatment. The foot of the cigar has a light Ecuador Sumatra leaf and the remainder is covered in a Colorado colored Nicaragua Havana leaf. Medium bodied, but full of various spice flavors and a savory core. A very elegant cigar!
Macanudo Cru Royale Robusto - Dominican, Nicaraguan and Brazilian Mata Fina fillers surrounded by a Dominican binder & Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. General Cigar has brought the Macanudo brand into the 21st century with this well balanced, complex and mouthwatering blend. Nothing mild or bland about it - a good cigar that holds up well after a bold meal or with a well aged adult libation.
What else have you been smokin' Craig?
Quesada Quesada - Spanish regional release from Matasa - Terrific savory core of wood, spice & leather with just the perfect accent of cherry sweetness. Start a letter writing campaign to get this thing in the US!
La Flor Dominicana Air Bender Natural - What a cigar. The perfect Dominican to my tastes. Sweet spicy grilled meat; Dale actually is spot on with that flavor.
Dunhill Atados - A celebratory cigar shared with friends for the upcoming birth of my son. I gave away 6 and will enjoy the rest on each of his birthdays, hopefully with him joining me for the final cigar on his 18th.
What else have you been smokin' Bob?
Joya de Nicaragua Classico Churchill - Wonderful classic and sophisticated smoke.
La Reloba by My Father Cigars - Terrific smoke with lots of flavor without the nicotine burn or unpleasant odors of some other wannabe value cigars.
What's My Band? - #950, Henry Clay Toro Maduro suggested by listener Jay LeDou.
January Palio Cutter Contest Winner: Craig Burcky from Wellington, Florida won the black Palio Cutter. Enter the February contest now to win a silver Palio Cutter.

"Stump the Chumps" Do you have a suggestion for the unbanded cigar of the week? Every week Bob and Dale include an “unbanded cigar” segment in their show in which they smoke a cigar without any markings and give their honest opinions. Bob then opens a sealed envelope and discovers the cigar’s name and manufacturer. If you have suggestions or donations for the "What's My Band?" segment (or as Craig Schneider refers to it, "Stump the Chumps"), please send them to liz@cigarmedia.tv.
