This is just my opinion, but for what it's worth, I was dissappointed to see that you are charging $4 for the app. I wouldn't mind banner ads or something like that, as I understand you need to write the app, etc., but while I love the show and I love botobJob and Dale, I just think that if you're going to start charging money, there needs to be more attention to detail. For example, on last week's cigars one to one interview with Jose Blanco, there is about 3 minutes in the middle where there are two different simultaneous audio signals, which makes that part of the interview unintelligible. I'm not against paying for the dogwatch, but I would expect better quality if I'm to pay for it. At least listen to it before you post the edited product, or pay someone else to?

First, thank you for letting me know about the error in the Jose Blanco interview. I am correcting that problem as I write this and will be uploading the new version in a few minutes under the same file name.
The DogWatch CIgar Radio show is still and will always be free. The iPhone app was intended to provide the listeners with an alternative to downloading the show. My intention as we move forward is to provide exclusive content in the iPhone app to make it worth the $2.99 price tag. The show is still available for free through iTunes and on the web site. I am sorry you are, legitimately, disappointed with the error in the Jose Blanco interview. I apologize for the error. If you feel the app is not worth $3.00, then email me your information and I will refund your money. Bob at CigarMedia dot Tv

I too experienced the audio issue with the one-on-one show and should have emailed Bob to let him know. The rest of the interview was great! These technology issues can and will happen; errors can and will happen. Gotta be a balancing act at times between Dogwatch and life/work. I appreciate the service Bob and Dale provide with their limited time.

To be honest, I'd pay a fee for reviews of cigars and other info through itunes feeds to support DogWatch. This is an idea I think would work. And I'd still listen to the show weekly! That is how good a service/product Bob and Dale provide to us cigar smokers.

I know nothing of this iphone/itouch app. If I had the money for an iphone, I sure wouldn't hesitate to buy an app. for a few bucks that might save and help me purchase great cigars.

You know what, now that I've had more time to think about it, I think my original post was premature, as well as factually wrong. I got the price of the app wrong, to begin with, and in a post where I was complaining about an audio glitch, I made a typographical error. Mistakes happen is the lesson here, and since I haven't seen the app, I have no basis for judging whether it's worth $3 or not. I guess the crux of it is, I've been getting valuable content for free from Bob and Dale for a long time now. I can put down $3 on faith that it will be worth it. Bob, thanks for the quick reply, and for all the great shows, and for all the new stuff lately that you've been putting together like the new website, the 1 to 1 interviews, and now this app. I'll let you know what I think about the app when I've used it for a while.

We certainly did learn what it's like to hear multiple voices in our heads, didn't we? :) Kinda spooky while laying in bed way past midnight. As long as we hear the right voice which leads us to a good cigar is all that matters in the cigar universe!

Thanks for all of the support. The iPhone app is STILL a work in progress. I am working with Wizzard Media on it and so changes take a bit longer and implementation of special features is too slow. However, I am continuing to work on it and hope to have all of the extra content included by the end of the week.

I think the iPhone app is nice and the few bucks I paid for it don't bother me in the least. Hell, I've paid more than that for cigars I didn't like. I like the way it helps me keep track of the episodes I've listened too and the "Resume Playback" feature is a big help because I rarely get to listen to an entire episode without some kind of interruption.
