About Bob McDuffee, CST
"Smoking cigars is not an addiction ... it’s a lifestyle choice that we like to share with friends" Now living in Florida, Bob's most impressive claim to fame is not having worn a watch for 8 plus years. Bob has been smoking cigars and learning a variety of vices for over 25 years. He is opinionated, assertive and a bit of a storyteller. Having never been accused of being subtle, Bob has attacked cigars with the same obsession he devotes to fly fishing and his other hobbies. Bob loves to teach others about cigars and comes straight to the point when expressing an opinion as if it were fact. This straightforward, no-prisoners approach pushes his co-host to reconsider attitudes and myths about enjoying cigars.
About Dale Roush, CST
A 2nd generation native of Colorado, Dale Roush has been smoking cigars for over 25 years. His easy-going, country style puts DogWatch Cigar Radio listeners at ease and makes them feel like a part of the family. Dale holds the Certified Salesforce Tobacconist certification from Tobacconist University (TU), has several years experience working in Pipe and Cigar retail sales, is a member of Cigar Rights of America and is known as "The Master Cigar Technician" on DogWatch Cigar Radio. He has set a goal of attaining the Certified Master Tobacconist certification from TU in the coming year.
Dale truly views cigars as a passion, and understands that passion manifests itself differently with different people. He can easily relate to the new cigar smoker in terms that are meaningful and reassuring. Dale's tactful ways help to keep his co-host in line and provide the perfect balance within the show. Although he will never claim to be an expert, Dale can discuss the pros & cons of any vitola with most experienced cigar passionados. While his preferred cigar styles lean toward the full flavored boutique brands, he enjoys cigars from large & small manufacturers from all regions of the world. When asked what cigar is his favorite, don't be surprised when Dale replies "the one I'm about to have next!" One of his biggest joys is spending time sharing good cigars and fine Scotch with his son, Jacob.
Outside of the cigar world, Dale's many hobbies include sailing (both life size and radio controlled models), scuba diving, firearms, woodworking, music and single malt scotch. In 2005 he and his wife Terry restored a 1976 Venture Newport 23' cutter rigged sailboat, and enjoy it during the summers on a local mountain lake in Northern Colorado.
